this is junyi and shuli in the house! how is everyone doing? hahaha. i saw Wanjun's entry and we felt very happy! hahah. it's been so many years already right? cant believe how time flies. it's like just yesterday when we first met each other..can't believe that it's been so long since i last stepped into a classroom in a block. and yet it was something we did everyday just a few months ago.

now our juniors are mugging like crazy. so we can laugh at them hahaha. well, good luck to our juniors and better luck to all of us for whatever we are doing

junyi says that army life sucks. no, it's actually quite enjoyable (then junyi started eating i dunno what so cant make out what he is saying). junyi is actually eating an apple now. a.p.p.l.e~ hahaha. junyi say he noncombat so cant speak for everyone but i guess, from the last class gathering, that things arent that bad right? except small hands because he cannot hold his rifle properly.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. rittley tay is going to kill us~

for the uni people, i know la, life sucks. got a lot of projects. no time to shop. no time to play. no time to go out with wee junyi but never mind, our holiday is coming soon so hang on tight everyone! the stress will be over soon.

yesterday my hc friends in law went to CURRY WOK and wore their hc pe shirts. and the auntie gave them STUDENT PRICE and STUDENT MEALS. STUDENT PRICE! WOOHOO. let's do that soon together ok? hahaha

junyi say he very sad now. nobody want to add him on msn. hahahaha.

haha... do you all still visit this blog now? I see that there're aren't any recent updates! so i'm here to revive this dying blog!

how have u all been? it's been ages since i last saw many of you... do you all still remember me? we journeyed through econs together during the first 6 months of your life in hwa chong. i fondly recall the smiles and laughter you all brought into my life! thanks... you all are really a cool bunch of people =D

i guess the girls shld be busy with studies now and the guys with army... i'm curious to know what are u all majoring in? anyone majoring in econs besides xuanyi? haha :)

as some of u might already know, i'm in my third year in nus majoring in econs (my pet subject). i'm currently on a semester-long exchange at university of toronto, canada. life here is good! if possible try to go on exchange too, it is a worthwhile experience. i'll be travelling to places like montreal and new york after my sem and come back in singapore on 31 dec! exciting right? =D

Hi all, shimin has kindly pointed out that some of the buses I mentioned does not go directly to the church. I got the info from SBS Transitlink Bus guide according to the road name (the church isn't a particularly prominent landmark i guess), hence it may not have been very accurate since the road may be very long? so here is the list of buses according to shimin: 30, 51, 78, 79, 143, 176, 178. Most can be taken from jurong east interchange. Don't go to chinese garden cos it's further, she says.

to my dearest classmates

prom was an amazing memory for me. the whole thing about running for prom queen was really like a dream, especially when we walked down the red carpet. i never thought i'd have a chance like this in my lifetime. and you guys completed the picture for me perfectly. i can't describe how touched i was whenever you all gave me an encouraging pat on the back or a warm hug. though i didn't win the competition (haha actually b4 i joined i already knew there would be a slim chance of me winning cos the other gals are obviously more prominent and beautiful), i'm so thankful for this awesome experience. thank you so much everyone! for being so sweet and supportive. these mean SO MUCH more than the real glory and honour of wearing the tiara. :)

p.s. have fun at chalet!! keep in touch always. oh, and rmb to keep my unique secret i shared onstage. haha!

(oh, let me add. in my msg to u guys runners, i only meant my 'confirm-win' as a morale booster sorta thing know. sorry i made shiru teary n kai-qian all jittery. relax !)
but once again, let me gif an outline of wad happened.

1st runnner. kai-qian. her start was good, we were confident. den some stupid fat pig had to knock into her, causing her to drop the baton. we dropped to seventh, thx to tt not so-thin-person, whoever it was. rly kai-qian, u ran well. n rly no one's blamin u. it's not ur fault. it's tt pig's. u did well. rly did =)

2nd runner. nigel. just like last yr, pro. running like he's swimming. 1 word. fast.

3rd runner. shiru. dont see her small small, easy to bully. she bounce here bounce there, jump here jump there, disappear for a while, den appear to pass the baton. steady. nice. my fren says u v fast. n u cut THREE pple!!!

4th runner. ritzley. was sick ytd. den still can run until this fast, dont know how fast he'll go if he's perfectly fit. scary tot to have ...

5th runner. huixuan. like last yr, she's determined, frm her contorted face while she was running. jk. but she ran well too. so close to giving us top 3 placings for the 1st time in the race !!!

6th runner. kian. no need to say. once the baton's in his hand, off he goes. dont know how many he cut oso, all i know is he was FAST. damn steady.

hello. this is chelly. i have a sad life. please listen to my sad story and you will agree that my life is very sad.

i have a safe deposit box in my room. it is very safe and is stuck to the wall so burglars cannot carry it away. it also happens to be hidden in my sister's cupboard, so that burglars will be deterred by her smelly clothes. also, if some terrorist decides to blast my safe deposit box out of the wall, the big hole will be in her cupboard and not mine. so you see, i do my research and planning very well. anyway, this safe deposit box has a key and i used to hide it in a pair of track pants in my cupboard. in this way, burglars would have to rummage through my cupboard, and be overcome by the nice smell-ness of it, before braving the smelliness of my sister's cupboard. this'd make the smelliness of my sister's cupboard all the more overwhelming. defeating crooks is all about playing games with the mind.

ANYWAY. the key stayed in its great hiding place until my korea trip last year, where i had to bring my track pants to. so i took the key out and changed its hiding place. being the meticulous planner i am, i carefully considered all the possible places to hide the key [eg. in a toiletroll, in my toothbursh cup, in socks, etcetc] and whether a desperate robber would have the brains to look there. obviously, my brain was too powderful at that moment in time, because i hid my key too well and can't find it now.

i'm like, WOW. GREAT JOB, CHELLY. YOU MIGHT AS WELL HAVE SWALLOWED THE KEY, SINCE IT'D AT LEAST COME OUT IN THE TOILETBOWL.

..well, that'd be true unless the key got stuck in my gut. then that'd be an entirely different story. i can imagine the doctor scrutinising an x-ray with a mysterious key-shaped object lodged in my intestines --> doc: what's that? me: erm.. a key? doc: man, was it a freak accident?! *concerned* me: no, i was trying to hide the key from burglars..

my friend suggested blowing the damn thing up to open it.. but then i'd end up with a hole in my wall. and my money would burn up. wouldn't it be better still if my house burnt down too, and amidst the smouldering rubble i catch sight of my safety deposit box still intact and LOCKED. omg, the first allele for insanity must have popped up from a situation like that.

ok enough about that. i'm also very sad that adult salespeople and now, even stupid donation-asking people IGNORE students in school uniform. they must either think we're: 1. pennyless/penniless [aha that word makes me laugh =x] 2. cold-hearted dogs 3. invisible. i wish it were the 3rd, but then i wouldn't have been caught for not tying my hair up by F** [man, that looks like a bad word *cough*] if it were. how sad. i was so pissed the other day when i was blatantly ignored by these 2 donation-asking poops in the underpass who hurriedly rushed to ALL the adults walking by. i was deliberately walking slowly somemore! i was tempted to walk back and forth that underpass until they came to ask me for donations too..

i was going to STAND UP for all uniform-wearing students ok! show them that we aren't PENNILESS [aha..] dogs. so there i would be, either: 1. making a great and wonderful point or..

2. getting arrested by the police for harrassment. which would defeat the whole purpose. since it'd prove that students aren't only dogs, but STUPID dogs. how sad.

oh today i was locked out again. out of my house this time. so as i sat there waiting for my maid to come back and open the door [since i don't have keys to my own house .-.] i was looking at the grass in my front garden. it was the strangest thing but I WAS OVERCOME WITH THIS DESIRE TO EAT THE GRASS.

i think it was cos the grass looked so green and thick and long.. doesn't it make you wonder whether it'd taste juicy? so i was kinda sad that i couldn't eat the grass.. like why couldn't we have lots of stomachs like cows so we could eat the grass in our gardens when it got long? apart from the whole cud-chewing thing [re-chewing food coming up from your various stomachs is way un-cool. unless YOU ARE A COW.] it'd be pretty cool to be able to just get down on the ground and start eating grass when you're hungry.. then maybe different grass would taste different.. wow..

now don't you feel sad you can't eat grass too?

hey all. the details for tmr's class outing: meet at 130 pm jurong east mrt. don't be late ok! then junyi will bring us to his new house. from 2-4 pm, we will go to hs ktv lounge at his condo to sing, but must bring your own vcds cos his ktv set v lao pok. yah after which, from 4-7 pm will be free time, you can bring anything you want to play, like monopoly, doll houses, poker cards, mahjong set, toy cars, swim suit (to go for swimming), balls (volleyballs and basketballs i mean) etc etc. we will call for pizza at night to eat since junyi's house is very empty now.

oh and everyone who is going must bring something for others to eat (eg chips, 1.5 litres drinks) must chip in okay, don't be cheapo and coup food from others! for those who can join us only later, junyi's add is 27 west coast rise monetery park. i have no idea where it is and junyi refuses to give me his house number, i wonder why. yah but you can take bus 51 from jurong east interchange to his house, and he is not sure how many stops. so er, i guess you have to check it out on your own. there is such thing as the bus guide and road directory! yeah, then can go to the transit link website to check also.

Hey how's everyone?

I just finished my exams! Having holidays now. For those who are clueless, I'm currently majoring in econs and minoring in analytical chem at NUS. If any of you happen to be in NUS feel free to sms me to have lunch or just to sit around and talk! I live in NUS Raffles Hall so I'm on campus most of the time.

Wow... great to hear that my grandjuniors have plans for the hols! Hope that the class is more united now. I know that you guys struggled with class unity this year. Some of you were upset over the dismal turnout rate for class outings and so on. I guess class unity can't be forged overnight. Furthermore, it requires the effort of every member of the class.

To be honest, I feel that belonging to a united class is one of the most important things in a person's school life. I'm speaking from personal experience here because your grandsenior class was (and still is) pretty united! Class unity played a crucial role in helping us tide over the stressful prelims and A level exam periods. We studied together at the class bench, helped one another and gave one another support. Our teachers love our class! We weren't the best academically, but we were bonded and our teachers remark that they often feel a sense of warmth emanating from our class :)

Yup... I sincerely hope every one of you will feel belonged to this wonderful class called 05s71! It has been a year since you all got together from various secondary schools. Fate brought you guys together, fate also allowed me to get to know all of you in the first half of this year. Yesterday morning I read the lovely messages you all wrote to me on a card given to me on my last day in hwa chong for the umpteenth time. Memories just flooded my mind...

Have you people watched harry potter? Because of the exam period I only managed to catch one movie recently - Just Like Heaven starring Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo. Highly recommended! It's a hilarious yet heartwarming love comedy. I'm looking forward to Chicken Little which opens 1 dec!

Have fun at the class chalet in december! My class is also meeting up soon. December is indeed a great time to catch up with one another, since we have been so busy throughout the year!

hey just to update on the chalet matters

date: 14 nov to 16 nov
venue: east coast coasta sands chalet
cost: either $138 or $198 for 3 days two nights (not including food)

$198 is for the chalet with double storey which many requested so that we will have more space to sleep and carry out our activities. however, shimin will try to upgrade from the $138 to $198 chalet but it is not confirmed yet. will update you guys asap.

just keep the date in mind and please try to make time for it. (and i mean staying over for the chalet) anyway, there is halloween this thurs and tiff strongly encourage everyone to go. so yah, please go ok!!! it's going to be scary (according to tiff) and yah, we can start scaring each other which is fun... (:

and one more thing, please go to school tomorrow!!!! though we have nothing much going on tmr from 8 to 1120, but most people are doing sports during the time. so yay, great time for bonding sessions! and i can then tell you more about the chalet...

yesterday ritz, jielong, shiru and me went to kwee's hse fr the afternoon. Im so glad that kerwei did not change his mind abt inviting us at the very last min. haha.. Imagine the shock when ritz and me stepped out from the lift. it really looked like a hotel suite out of LA. The exterior was breathtaking, with the 24k gold statue standing outside the main door. Pressed the doorbell and then entered thru the side door which was opened by 2 domestic helpers. 2!!!!! Went in thru the kitchen and then opened the door leadin to the livin room. After which some1 lead us up the great stairways to kwee's room where we opened the door to see him puffin away on a cigar behind the huge business desk. ok not. he was tryin out his million and one calvin klein suits that probably costs up to 9thousand sing each. nah kiddin. he was dressed in his usual striped collar shirt and jeans. =)

in his room were 200 to 300 toy soldiers that didnt look very toyish. it was everywhere lar, in his cupboard, on his desk, some were even amputated! :) kian asked how much they were and kwee said EACH costs abt 60 dollars. i went o.0 when kwee said: "oh i dun collect them anymore." !!! can u imagine! thats like how much money spent on them!

If i were a girl i wld wan to marry kwee. hahaha. err no. that hse's juz too cool, i love it.

oh yar! i dint noe tt kwee had a dog! called scooby!! so i was like superly shocked when i saw it. and it was like charging at me!!!! so scary =x kwee said: its only a dog. yes BUT still.. no matter how big or small it is, its still v scary. :) dogs and cats alike.

anw kwee, rmb what i said a long time ago? that i will miss u when u fly off? yeah i was bein serious. hope u can believe it.. yup. will miss u my friend.. I wish u a safe journey and all the best in ur studies. adieos dude. =D

hey i just suddenly felt like telling this story all over again. hahaa. and this story goes out to all the people who have completely lost hopes in 71.

and it goes like this.

there's this morning, shuli came to school on bus. Shuli may look big and fat and all that, she's quite weak (-.-) she black out on the bus, stumbled to the bus stop and sat down in the bus stop for ages. all these while, she couldnt see a single thing. the last she saw was the neighbourhood police post.

and so she sat. people came and walked away. slowly, she started to see things. her head spins. her legs were jelly so she culdnt stand up and walked over to hwa chong. and so she sat. repeating the incident in her head and amazed that she survived it.

jiayin came and the gentleness in her face made shuli told her what happened. Jiayin was horrified and asked shuli if she's alright. shuli replied yes. but her legs are still weak and she couldnt walk in. and so she told jiayin to in first. jiayin walks away uncertainly.

and guess what? i think kaiqian's right. class spirit is in the little things.

jiayin, with the rest of the girls in our class, returned to the bus stop. one by one they asked shuli if she's alright. they took her bag, and helped her to school. they tell her how shocked they were when jiayin went to the class bench and broke the news to them. and thus, they all came, their hearts and faces shining.

they came.

and i think that's all matters.

so people who have completely lost hopes in us, HEY! open your eyes to see the litttle things around you, happening quietly. they mean a lot (:

actually i read the previous entry 2 hours ago, but i told myself to cool down first before posting any entry, or i might be too impulsive and wage war with people or sth like that... (: that's besides the point i want to make.

i hope to keep it short, but you know how long winded i can get? (: ok here i go... i understand kian's feelings, though i may not be there. i know it's hard to convince anyone i truly understand, but i guess i felt it before, just that i didn't say it. there are many things that are different now, more stress, more homework, less fun than before. maybe it's this, plus many other troublesome stuff which make people unhappy? im making an assumption here, and of course i know there are some who are always happy lar.. the point is, no one ever said life will not change, everything is so transient, have not we learnt about it?

from o level results, to separation of the old 71, to the 71 now, i can only say that things change, but the feelings are there. i don't think it's so much of the people, it's the situation that's different. people may seem colder, you may assume or think that no one cares about the class anymore. but hey, pause for a moment and think, if people don't care, would there be such strong reactions from so many people in class? shuli's post, the anonymous person who was so "noble" to repost kian and ritz messages to ask us to reflect, jiaming's entry... we care, and i trust the rest of the people do as well. it's just maybe they don't show it, but does that mean they don't care at all?

people are especially self-centred when they are upset. im not targetting anyone, in fact im a human being, so i fall under that category as well. don't you feel that, when you are sad, you tend to focus so much on yourself, and neglect other people's emotions? we tend to think we are the victims, and the whole world owes us sth which in fact, it may be the other way round. i have gone through this period, when i found no purpose in going to school, because i felt i was doing stupid stuff for a bunch of people who did not appreciate at all. i felt that people took me for granted, that i was just a fool giving everything, and receiving none. (take note of the past tense!!) but when i took a step back and looked, in fact im not the victim, everyone is equal. it's when i was sad, i neglected the care and concern people may shower me with, and sank deeper into it.

class outing, people don't turn up, so those who went felt disappointed. i understand that feeling, have not i felt before and many others too? shuli for example, who didn't take it to heart. is it just class outing that determines the class spirit? i have always wanted to say this, but i thought i shall not bother so much. but if i don't bring it up, i think im letting myself down. i want to question how much you love the class, if you say you do, and you feel sad at the state of the class now... please think... there are many other things, other than class outings that determine class spirit, many of which no one even bothers. events such as national day costume parade, racial harmony day fashion show, do you bother to even listen and help? if you say this is not the sole determinant of class spirit, then let me tell you, neither is class outing. my experience from a great class, we seldom go out, yet we miss each other like crazy when we left. why? im not drawing comparisons but rather talking about my expereince here. i presume it's because everyone made the effort to contribute in each and every way. at this point, i want to thank tiffany, for bothering to design the national day costume. sth she said really left a deep impression. she told me she is part of the class, so she will do sth for it. no one helped her, neither did i and yet she did not even utter a word of complain.

it's not so much of pushing the blame to anyone, or asking why the class has turned this way. firstly, everyone has a part to play, and i can say i failed as a ct rep because i did not bond the class, as i should have done. and maybe you can think, in what ways have you failed? you don't have to tell anyone, know it and change that. i will work to my fullest ability to do what im supposed to do as a ct rep, and hopefully i will not regret when i leave this class. secondly, asking why will not help the situation. things are different, but i believe people can change that too. so why despair, lose hope and tell everyone the class has changed, and say things like you don't want to have hopes? if you are afraid to face the risks of disappointments, then you will never know what is faith and trust.

i told shiru and shimin before, i wanted so much to leave this college and they ask me if it's this bad. it's not hc, not the class, it's just stress. but i thought about it again, and remembered the day when i had to report to ajc. the feeling was undescribable, i knew i didn't belong there and i felt so lost. and i can predict that at the end of next year, many of us will cry, and say we will miss each other etc etc despite all these things that happen. but why you may ask... because we care though we don't show it, say it. some things are not within our control, like our choice to go for class outing or not. who doesn't want to relax and spend time with the class, im assuming that you really love the class here. what i can say is, we care, and please, don't let a few setbacks take away that love for the class, and please, don't deny the class because of the poor turnout at class outings. because i do not wish to go to school, and face cold-hearted people everyday, and neither do many of you i presume. i do not wish to leave hc now, and i don't regret fighting to stay in this class though it's so different now. there is still love i know.

and maybe there are small gestures that you overlook, which can prove that the class is still bonded together. besides looking at the strong reaction at the class blog, please recall the times when we ganged up against *coughs* people who are mean to our class, and the smiles you get each day which can brighten one's day, at least my day. (:

if talks can turn one negative, then i hope an entry can bring hope to you people? im optimistic, because i choose to view the situation differently. personally i feel that when you are negative and upset, even the greatest thing that people do to you may seem like an evil act in your eyes? im exaggerating here, but ya, you get the idea... yes its true you might face disappointments, but for me, i will rather take that risk, then never to experience what it means by faith and trust.

and lastly, i know im very longwinded already... so im going to slap myself to sleep... ok i digress... yup lastly right, i want to say i turst those who lose hopes and are lost now, they will find that hope again and not give up on the class. hey im not playing psychology or pressurising anyone, but im letting nature take its course, and i believe one day, when you look back, things are not as bad as you thought they are. (:

i recall just 4 months ago. the posting period. kai-qian didn't get in. kian was stupid, and requested for some funny combi and in the end wanted to be back here. it's all in the past, now they're with us. But i just want to say sorry kian. Really sorry. I just feel so bad for all that I've done then. you were hesitant about returning to sevenone, cos u knew with the differnet people, sevenone would no longer be the same. It was me, who assured everything would only be better, if not the same. It was me, who coerced you into making this decision to stay with sevenone. I'm not saying sevenone is no good, but I mean with all the talks with you and your posts, it's not difficult to tell you're unhappy.

Maybe it's just the few of us feeling it. kian, ritz and me. or is it the others also. Here i also have to apologise to huixuan, whom through my talking to, guess i turned her negative as well. but thx to you as well, for cheering me up :) (ice-cream!) sevenone has changed, like it or not. It's no longer the same. It's not the 2nd intakers' fault. It's just how everything is different. Like what kian said, nothing's changed, but nothing's quite the same ever again.

What happened? Was all the strong bonding during posting period all just for show like what ritz said? I don't know. True, one can't link the class outing turnout with class unity and all, but it does tell alot. memories just keep coming back. orientation. guys were dao. but we were sevenone, proud to be sevenone. 71. something so sacred. something we all hold so dear to our hearts. The cheers came from within. That, was then.

kian has given up hopes. Guess ritz won't have much as well. me myself, i've learnt to not have hopes. no hopes rather than disappointments. again, izit just the few of us. looking at the posts of kian, ritz and jiaming, i just get despondent.

i don't know whether 71 is gone like what kian says. it's up to you to judge.

Ok i broke my promise to abstain from the usage of the com but anw im here juz to clarify things so that this issue abt the class outing can come to an end.

haha firstly, i juz wanna say that i do not regret posting e prev entry as it was a truthful reflection on what i felt that day. was juz bein honest, and so i certainly find no wrong in doin that. but after much reflection, i think i wld apologise fr the harsh tone adopted in it as emotions and more emotions clouded my thoughts. yet the purpose of it all wasnt to blame any1 or to accuse ppl of purposely skipping class outings for that matter. of coz i noe that tiffany had council matters, huixuan & kaiqian had interact, jiayin had dance, sean had old class gathering, gerald was grounded and many others were sick. i do not blame them and i esp appreciate every little effort put in to even try to come at all.. and i din noe that shuli, u had menstrual cramps. im sry to hear bout that. was not targeting any1 specifically so i din expect the big uproar over some random ramblings. anw i guessed the disappointment in the poor turnout got to me so badly that i juz lost it.. so sry fr the way that i put things across. but its impossible to refute the stark truth of it all, our class has changed. for the better or worse i do not noe. or maybe its juz me, sitting there in silence while envyin the strong bonds between snrs in our snr class; invaluable friendship coupled with gd grades. im so jealous. is that too much to ask fr?

First, I want to say sorry for the class outing…I really couldn’t make it becoz of the performance…sorry to all those got disappointed…
After reading all the posts, u know what, I took out the 05s71 class list, and read through it all again..they are not only names and contact list to me..they mean more..and I know how much I miss all of u…

I miss the jokes, the laughers, the tears, and all the memory…

The day I went back to watch the Hwa Chong performance and saw huixuan, jiayin, Pamela, Adeline, shiru, chenlu…and all the hugs made me feel so warm and touched…
U know what is the most special and unique thing of Hwa Chong, its not only a school, it's a place watches us grow and grows with us, it's the family feeling......and now,we can't expect anything to go back to the past, we must move on and learn to treasure what we have…

and to Kian, and whoever feels like him, u can never compare the present with the past...they are different...u will never feel happy if u always compare that…u gain some and lose some...but they will never be the same...and lets think about 2 yrs later..when these two years of school ends, I bet u guys will cry…and know how much u will miss each other and how much wont want to leave each other…because u guys have spent TWO YEARS together…2 yrs of chatting, laughing, playing, doing tutorials and having boring lessons together…U ARE with each other everyday now… so please don lose hope in each other…and rmb whatever u a doing now will be part of the priceless memory in the future…and next yr, u a going to have junior class too..u guys should show them what is the 71 spirit…

I only got the news today…heard that u are leaving…and nobody told me…I would always rmb u as I rmb the whole class…rmb u writing the best chem. partner on the paper on my back during the game…rmb the econ project we did together…and all the jokes we share together.....please take care, okay? i didnt go sentosa

nah, i'm not writing this entry to show you excuses. the truth is i didnt go sentosa. if you want to know what i did on that gorgeous day, i laid on the bed and cried because of menstrual cramps. i ate four panadols in one hour. i smsed chenlu to complain. but well, i have digress. it's true i didnt go and yes, i am sorry. i'm sorry that i missed out on another great chance to bond with everyone. i'm sorry kian wei for wasting your efforts. i talked to a few ppl who did not make it to the class outing and ppl like tiffany couldnt make it because she has council. in fact, she has council every saturday. (dont make a class outing on sat again! =D)

but i want to write this entry and encourage everyone. let's not give up hopes people! it's true the second 71 did not have as much time to bond. we didnt had the chance to yell the cheers together, go into the starch pool together, cry over results and work to stay together, play and ate our hearts' content, pon lessons like anything...when the second intakers first came, they had to go for make-up EVERYDAY. they couldnt even go for the SIM break. unlike the first 71 (when during one particular chem lessons, not a single guy appeared). and when the make up lectures end, TADA! the block test came rushing our way

now the block test is over. but well, the results didnt help a lot did they?

so i hope that kianwei and ritz or anyone else dont give hope on 71! we are a great class. we are, kianwei. when i talk to my sec4 friends, they tell me all about bitchy sluts and terrible people in their class. i'm proud to say 71 dont have such disgusting characters. i dont hate anyone from 71. and my pw group rocks. i hear of irresponsible people in the groups but my pw group works together and we just have such great time at jong's hse all the time.

i'm very very glad i'm in 71. really. for i think together we make a great class.

but i tin we need time. like what i've mentioned above, the second 71 really dont have much time to truly bond together. but we can always try harder. well, i tin most ppl know of the close relationship i share with my sec4 class. we still meet regularly and sometimes i'll just go drop by their jcs and have fun watching movies and drowning in pizzas. but we had two years to make that happen. in sec3, we didnt have a single class outing.

so i think what we need is a bit more time and effort. i tin 71 is slwoly working towards that already. now for almost every single afternoon, i'm at coro or kap or anywhere else with chenlu, pris, junyi and jong to eat and have fun and talk. i still rmb how shiru, chenlu, pris, junyi, jong and me ate at ke ai chicken and laughed like anything. we had such fun!

we did have our share of failed class outings. this sentosa, my kbox outing, the list goes on. but hey! let's not give up hope! let's try harder! it makes my heart twist when i see eager ppl lose hope in us. we can do it. we have to believe in ourselves. i rmb all the cute and true posts we had after the results were released. i tin we meant everything we said.

so sorry kianwei again, for not making to the class outing. but please dont say things like good bye. dont dismiss all of us like this. i know we all have to try harder.

Initially wanted to start of this post with the line "71 sucks big time". But I've cooled down and the disppointment's getting easier to handle.. I mean, this failed attempt of a class outing to sentosa juz adds on to the list of failures doesn't it? The list that has been there ever since e 2nd intakers joined us. whatever.

Ok maybe u think that Im bein overly worked up over here and I admit that I am. But imagine how we felt when we arrived at harbourfront mrt station at 9am to see only jielong, ritzley, junyi and roslyn. That was the pathetic no. of us who actually made it there and the 5 of us took a bus down to sentosa. Just the 5 of us.

Reached sentosa and took the mini blue bus(silosa beach line) down to sunset bay where we started playin vball. At abt 11.30am hongli appeared! =] And note this my fellow classmates: she came down after soccer competition in the morning just to talk to us for 45mins before leaving for tuition at 12.15pm. -shrugs- Are we being fair to her? I cld see the disappointment when she asked fr the rest of the class.. sigh.

Ronald came after rugby trng shortly after and huaming(our beloved and missed 1st intaker who's currently in AJ) and kerwei appeared slightly before lunch to take part in our vball matches against other ppl whom we did not noe. Shimin rushed down to sentosa after piano lessons at woodlands and met us before we went to BK for lunch. Pris who overslept joined us during lunchtime at BK before leaving for indoor stadium at abt 4 plus. Alright so wad is my purpose of telling this to every1? Certainly not to describe the wonderful outing that we had today.. The weather was great, the location and more importantly the company. (Hopefully the others will write abt that) =)

What Im tryin to say is this. Look at the names of the ppl who went. Roslyn, huaming, shimin, hongli, kerwei, pris, ritz, jielong, ronald, junyi and me. 5/11, thats almost half of the ppl who turned up isnt even in this class now. Hey I thot this was supposed to be a 71 class outing? Ppl who have left us made an effort to turn up fr this outing.. Yet the ppl in our class do not treasure such gd bonding times. Its really v saddening and the disappointment's inexplicable.

Whats the point in sayin stuff like "I wanna go sentosa!", "I wan haf a class outing" or "our class seem quieter and less bonded than in the past" and then dun care enough to even turn up fr a simple class outing that is on a saturday before 4 days of holidays? crap. total bullshit. What were u guys doin? muggin at home? Im sry I juz cant control my emotions today. Im juz so touched by the ppl who were with us inthe 1st 3mths and disappointed by those in the class now.

Kerwei nearly made me cry today. I rmb that before we boarded the bus to eat lunch. He asked me to rmb to write to him or email when he is in the states. I told him that I wld miss him when he's gone and I asked him if he wld feel the same and his reply was, "yeah.. if not then why am I here today?" =( touched by his words.

Jiamin din manage to come down due to harmonica performance although she wanted to.. Ppl were down with e flu bug and many had stuff on. Everyone has their reasons and I respect that. So I guess its juz my fault for tryin to initiate such a pointless outing. Just ignore the effort we put in to ask every1 and pass down relay msgs. Maybe we guys did a terrible job. But rest assured that I wun be tryin to initiate 1 anymore. They'll end up like this anyway.

Goodbye 71. What used to be the perfect class; the class that I wld do anythin juz to stay in it.. is gone.

I rmb jiaming specially coming for the class chalet at night, even though she couldn't stay over, she took the effort to come all the way just to spend like, 2 hours with us. I was so touched. Ytd, hongli came all the way to sentosa after her soccer trg to spend like, 45mins with us, before having to leave for tuition. Once again I felt so touched by her actions. As kian put it, ytd's outg comprised of 5/11 of first intakers who left the class. Why isit like this? Din we all wish to stay tgt as a class during the postings period? Din we all try to stay on as hard as we could? What happened after all of it? Was it all a show? just to show off how close we were and how united we were? and after the show we all just pretend the show din happen at all????

If that's the case, I wld rather this class split up totally in the first place. Stay tgt for wad? becos if staying on means making us not treasure it anymore, then split up. at least I believe we wld all then make an effort to go for class outgs. I don't think it's the 2nd intakers' fault. Some of the 1st intakers have changed. Looks so fake to me. jiaming's gift to the class, the jigsaw puzzle. does it hold any meaning now? Even if we piece the puzzle tgt again, it won't be the same, probably some parts have lost its colour. Sure the puzzle hasn't deformed, it still fits all tgt, but the look of it has changed. Completely. and I can't see it changing back to its original state in future.

I can say one thing for sure. The day you leave, I won't say goodbye. I will only say 再见 (zai jian), cos it simply means we'll meet again.

I don't know why. I just don't know what to say now. I just have so much so much to say yet ...

I rmb first day of sch, I saw u, and I was lyk "Who's this guy? I've nv seen him before in my 4 yrs of tchs". Yeah I noe u were thinking the same thing abt me. Well guess what, these 2 strangers have become friends and now I'm gonna miss you while u chink out in US. haha.

I rmb u as the guy who keeps disappearing from the class. Our class only had 7 guys then, but it seemed to be always 6 ard, becos u always 'pop' and disappear, 'pop' and appear whenever u like. U just went away without any notice and came back before we knew it. haha. Ah now u are gonna pop out and who knows when are u gonna pop and appear again. Oh no why am I so pessimistic?

I rmb u as the guy who goes to library to look at girls. haha. turns out u always disappear to go to the library. and u confessed ur ulterior motive to us during one of the class outings. Yeah we know u didn't mean what u said (yeah right hahaha), but still u were very sporting and played along and brought abt so much fun and laughter. I saw a different side of you!

I rmb that time when u, me and kian were in the library. And u tried to hit on Adeline. HaHaHa!!! U just went up to her and ur pick up line was "Have u read the GP book?" Adeline then dao-ed u. I will always rmb this scene. Of cos, right after that u and adeline became a scandal. ;)

I rmb u as the rich guy, with a chauffeur, butler, lexus car, ritz carlton, house in orchard, lots of striped shirts, lots of money. And i've nv been to ur house before. How can??? We have to go to ur house one day. Promise?

I rmb u as my bio pract partner. I had no bio bg and u helped me out in practicals. It's lyk, every little thing and I would go to you and ask u for help. haha. I sound like some parasite lah, but now without you, I donno who to turn to. Still, a biiiig THANK YOU!!!! for helping me out, though I might irritate u sometimes. haha.

I rmb there was a time when we competed in class to give answers for tutorials. It was damn fun. Don think the same effect could be achieved if I had competed with someone else instead. And u were the most enthu person in class to give answers for every subj, even chemistry. And yah, u are very clever, intelligent, smart, cong ming, li hai, qiang, zhai in ur studies. and no matter what u always say, I would nv rate you as a mugger. =)

I rmb u are in my PW group. the moment I saw ur name in my grp, I donno whether to feel happy or sad. hahaz. Cos at that time, I could only communicate with u. I rmb we were very sad abt the grouping. We wanted to rush to the tcher in charge and request to change group. haha. of cos we love this group now. There wont be u ard during PW anymore. No one i can talk to. I shall just talk to junyi. Point is, though I always lament abt u being in my grp, I dare say that I am happy to have you in my grp. =D

I'm still searching my memories for shadows of you. Still lots I haven't uncovered. Shall leave them for nxt time. Chill out while u can in Singapore. Certainly, there will be a next time. (:

P.S. you fitted in very well with us. I dare say the guys back then were one big clique. Guys united! =)

im really shocked at how emotional kerwei can be and i cried while reading the entry! kerwei, it's all your fault!!!! ): i ever thought of why you wanted to leave us, and how it would be like without you. but i do not like to think about sad stuff, so i thought there would be a lot of time till you really leave us. but suddenly, you just told me online that you are officially ending school tomorrow!!!! how can i not be upset and shocked...

it's really hard to say goodbye to you and honestly, you are one of my closest (guy) pal in class. i remember when i got back my o level results, you were online to cheer me up with your silly jokes. though they were not funny(as usual), i was very comforted by your words. and i recall how you told me online (that night before when i received my appeal results) not to give up on hopes because anything could happen and the miracle did happen. maybe i never said this, but im very thankful to have you around, whenever im upset or stressed. i remember that you volunteered to study with me in school during the holidays (though you joined your friend in the library), the times you made me laugh like crazy with your odd actions, the way you allow me to bully you, the jokes i made about you which you did not mind at all... thank you for bringing so much joy to my life. (:

i believe in everyone's heart, we will remember you as a classmate, as a mugger(*coughs*) and as a good friend. i don't know how to express my gratefulness but i know that without you, this class will be very different.

kerwei, remember those class outings (and those stripe shirts you wear to class outing), remember how you always volunteer to answer questions in class, remember every stupid jokes we made in class, remember how stressed we were duirng block test and how we overcame it. most importantly, remember us. (:

7/12th of a year.. 6 months and a third...190 days.. that's how long we have known one another for. Time is barely an issue when it comes to forging friendships.. you can almost click instantly with someone and yet someone can feel like a complete stranger even though you have known him/her for years. Fortunately for me, most of you fall under the former category. It has been great knowing all of you and I hope that we can still get together in the future.

On Tuesday, I will be stopping school officially. Although I will still continue to hang around thereafter, but I guess it won't quite be the same for me anymore.. Indeed, the only thing constant is change itself.

First few days of school. It was like entering a whole new world. I carried a bag. I carried a change of clothes. And I carried fear and excitement swirled together.. so much so that it was too hard to tell each other apart. I was afraid. Afraid that I wouldn't quite fit in. Ritzley, Jie Long, Ronald and Kian Wei seemed to click instantly. Talking to girls was too scary to contemplate at that moment. I was excited. I was, afterall, entering a whole new environment (with girls! tsk.. chinese high boys) and the 'o' levels were finally over.

Now, as we approach the final days of my time in HC.. So much has changed. The way I feel about the school, the way I feel about the people, the way I feel about that growing tree just perpendicular to our class bench. I will never forget the fun times we had (yes.. Only the fun times. He) as a class.

I'm sorry if I have ever angered you as a result of my silly jokes. They were of, as someone so aptly put, no malice. Yes. I hope you understand.

Hopefully I won't be treated like a stranger! :). By stranger, I mean someone who hasn't gone through all the tests, all the tutorials, all the nonsense you had to put up with the time I was gone. What a domestic pet is to a pack of strays. What a civilian is to a band of battle-hardened soldiers. What kerwei could be to 05s71..

But there're so many graduates in the market, you are just one. Most of them, go into the workforce, get a gd starting pay, then boss found out, you're lousier than the polytechnic guy cos he got hands on experience on stuff he studied. You're stuck. No pay rise. How's everyone? I guess all of you are fervently preparing for the upcoming block tests. I went through grueling block tests in my two years as a Hwa Chongian. Not to forget the promotional and preliminary examinations too! So I can fully understand your anxieties and frustrations because I have journeyed through this before and emerged a stronger person at the end!

Personally I feel that tests and examinations serve not only to test how much and how well we have learnt whatever is required of us in the syllabus. As we all know, life is beyond textbooks, tutorials and lecture notes. Preparing for tests and exams is a lesson in endurance in itself! So as you revise your work, you are building up stamina to face even greater and more demanding challenges in future. This is why I say preparing for tests and exams grooms us into more resilient people.

Feel free to sms me if you guys meet with any problems during revision. I'm not sure if I am ABLE to help you resolve your worries and frustrations, but you can be sure that I am WILLING to lend you a listening ear if you need to confide in someone. (Haha... does this remind you all about ability and willingness to pay in order for demand to be effective? lol...) Of course, I will always be there to address whatever Econs related questions you have to the best of my ability.

hi 71! council hasn't notified the school about racial harmony day yet but i'll tell ya first so it wouldn't be too rushed for the class! on 19th and 20th july, there'd be racial harmony celebrations, and it'll end off with a food fair n the 20th (wed i think) right after school. hope our class will be able to take part in this n earn money for the class fund! haha.. all proceeds will go to the class fund directly. hmmm.. hope we'd be able to improve from our cny food stall the other time :) this will be our first project as a class i believe? let's do a gd job n stand out from the crowd with our food stall!! heh. class com, u may wanna lead us in making the stall attractive n everything. cya guys later! :)

4 days to the chalet! is anyone as excited as i am?

please meet at 12.30pm pasir ris mrt, we'll go to whitesands shopping mall to find a place to have lunch, after which take bus 354 from pasir ris interchange to the chalet. check-in is at 2.30pm. =)

any objections? or, any other better suggestions?

please bring money to pay me (yes me haha) for the chalet, money to pay for the bbq, and money to cover other miscellaneous expenses. and of course, money for entertainment.

and after the chalet we'll all find holes in our pockets. and be forced to stay at home mugging all day. o.O

on thursday, we have to check out by 10am or pay another 135 bucks. i will be leaving in the morning for school cos i have training so someone have to do the checking-out for me.. thank you. =)
