ok...today we had a burial for cactus kanasai... though we looked like we were laughing very happily, i strongly believe that all of us muz be feeling very sad deep in our hearts right? honestly chelly, i was hoping to see ur baby cactus kanasai grow either very big, or like what u said, mutation or wadever...grow everywhere... hey i was really hopin for it to grow like that, so something will entertain us when all of us come back to hc 10yrs lateR? ok i am sadistic... but judging by the remains of kanasai... i really suspect someone used a cutter to cut it lehz... the surface of the remains looked smooth... but dont worry, u can depend on my darling cactus..i assure u no one will murder it..

anyway! had random chat with xuanyi, ronald & kerwei about pokemon.. damn amusing :D for the benefit of everyone else who wasn't there, don't you think it's really strange how bulbasaur/bulbosaur[?!] shoots leaves instead of BULBS?? why would it be called BULBosaur if it doesn't shoot bulbs?! why not call it LEAFasaur [okay fine, that sounds super loser, but you get the idea] then?! and aren't onions bulbs anyway? so it should shoot onions and like.. stink its enemies to death la.. so much simpler right .-. well, the chat went along those lines.. with XUANYI THE POKEMON-LOVER(c) providing lots of cool pokemon info *cough* X) oh i remember why we started talking about pokemon in the first place! *excited* it was cos hongli wrote in her letter to ronald --> "POKE BALL" + *insert drawing of weird ball*!! i was like o___________________O!! haven't blogged in some time, so here i am to release some pent-up rambliness (: i have a great suggestion to make! let's adopt the cactus i planted next to our class bench as our Class Cactus(c) ok! in case you wish to know more about his humble origins, he was originally one of the 21 cacti i bought for VDay, but he never did get to fulfil his original destiny [ie. get mauled lovingly nurtured by his new owner] cos he got TERRORIZED by SHIMIN THE CACTUS-KILLER(c). *VIOLENT* + *SADISTIC* shaking left him wobbling in the limited soil left in his 'lil pot, so i couldn't possibly give him away anymore since he somewhat resembled a green tumour and looked like his stem was rotting :( [incidentally, DRAMAFEST APOLLO'S PLAY IN DRAMAFEST WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D related tumour-joke from it --> in the situation where you happen to be highly frustrated with your siamese twin conjoined at the armpit, insult him/her with "YOU'RE BUT AN ARMPIT TUMOUR!!!!"]

anyway. i finally decided to put him out of his misery [ie. continual trauma from SHIMIN THE CACTUS-KILLER(c)] by planting him next to the malnourished tree beside our class bench (: reasoning being that he'll be near enough for me/us to help him fend off potential CACTUS-STEPPERS/KICKERS, and that the tree next to him's too much of a loser to steal excessive nutrients from him.. yay ^ ^

BUT! i suddenly realized the other day that this may be against school rules or something.. cos it's like disrupting the natural school environment aka springing a soon-to-be monster cactus on unsuspecting flora & fauna o.O like really! i had this small potted cactus when i was younger, with a cool red head and all.. i was all excited cos i transferred it to this bigger pot, hoping it'd grow better.. and it was cute ok! ..till the red head shrivelled up, died & dropped off, and the green stem went INSANE. it underwent binary fission or some other freaky mutant transformation and began growing everywhere like a jungle, till i had no choice but to use a chopper and hack it to pieces o______________O so obviously it's dead now and i'm like RIP, amen.

and that guy was still in a pot, so imagine this one with unlimited space to grow in.. *shudders*

well, you get the point and why i'm so worried.. but really DO take a look at him cos he's really so small & cute [erm. sound familiar?], he makes me want to hold an umbrella over him when it rains :( [i got so freaked out when it started raining the other day and i noticed he was *BROWN* on one side.. omg. kianwei said it was cos he was camouflaging himself with the soil to avoid getting eaten by predators. why am i not convinced?? :'(] oh and by the way, one of the ulterior motives behind making him our Class Cactus is so that if any teacher comes hunting down the person who planted him --> IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME. IT'S REALLY PERFECTLY NORMAL FOR A CACTUS SEED TO COME FLOATING FROM THE SAHARA DESERT TO OUR WONDERFUL HWACHONG CAMPUS. YEA. OK.

and we need to name him too.. any suggestions? (: erm. if got, can suggest in posts? cos i still can't see the tagboard.. sad case .-.

Dear S71,
this is rather late as I kept meaning to post but was rather busy.

I wanted to say a proper goodbye to xinhui---i have enjoyed having you in my class! Do keep in touch with the class.

Thank you all of you for generally being so well-behaved...I am glad all of you seem to enjoy each other's company so much. You have been a lovely class so far...keep up the good work and behaviour, please :) (with the exception of the money issue... the culprits know who you are!)

I sense the growing worry amongst the J1s as the date draws near to the release of the O level results. Leave the anxiety behind. You can't do anything, really, so try and enjoy Hwa Chong as much as you can for these few weeks.

Anyway, the Sentosa photos are gems! I did tell you guys Sentosa would be fun! Pity I couldn't attend, but we should have plenty more opportunities. Meanwhile, the blog is really very pretty so do keep up with occasional updates, at least, even when the competition is over!

WE MADE IT INTO PERIOD 2 OF VBC! According to our economic advisor cum analyst, Tiffany, we are in the top 6 with a market share of about 18%. It beats me how we got into the top 6 when we had a deficit of about 20k, im guessing the other teams forgot all about it (it's either that.. or they have way poor business sense). Theres alot to be happy about. for one, we're one step closer to the grand prize of one thousand dollars! Split 26- ways that would be about $38.4615384615384615 per person. not bad at all.

Anyway, Tiffany and I were talking about how the advertisment for VBC read "The winner takes it all" and right below it " 1st prize - $1000, 2nd prize $500".. hmm .. didn't they just say the winner would take it all.

thats it for now.. going to head back to my little cave (yes.. the one kai qian and michelle thinks i am living in). Oh! and before i forget.. good luck to our debaters on friday.. i'm sure you guys will do well!

heyz ppl, e sentosa outing sounds like a great lot of fun.. haha, tho there were a lot of cold buckets of water splashed onto ur by e lion king.. shud hav whacked him wif a kayak man.. then maybe he wun say so much after all.. anw to xin hui: gd luck for ur future studies! yup.. dun really noe wat to blog lar.. gtg..

anyway, here's my turn to fill u guys in on wat happened in sentosa today! 'cos huixuan's entry was pretty brief.

well, ok, we started off meeting at harbourfront mrt, yup, and we were supposed to meet at 9am, but in the end by the time everyone arrived, it was almost 10! as usual...our class really is famous for being late! tsk tsk, must try to change tt habit! anyway, 14 ppl met at the mrt station: all the guys, priscilla, huixuan, kaiqian, me, jiaming, xuanyi, hongli. (shimin came much later in the afternoon)

ok, so we made our way to sentosa, reached there, walked about for some time doing absolutely nothing, and sat around doing wat we do best - stoning. luckily tt didn't go on for the rest of the day! i guess it was sort of eveyone's fault tt we wasted time here and there, 'cos no one prepared anything! we had no mats, no ball (when it's so impt!), no frisbee...you get the pictur lah. oh, and while loitering arnd doing nothing, we saw ix shen! he was playing volleyball at one of the available courts!

later, 9 of us paid $5 each and received a fluorescent green band each, enabling us to use the volleyball court (ball included) and kayyak for the rest of the day. sounds worth it, isn't it? but the thing is, later, we all didn't even get to kayyak, 'cos of the lion king (as huixuan mentioned)! we were not allowed to remove our bands and pass it to another person, but we did so, and most unfortunately, the lion king (we nicknamed this guy lion king, 'cos his hair really resembles tt of a lion's mane!) found us out...and he didn't allow us to go kayyaking even after we passed on the bands to the more or less original ppl who signed up officially! he said tt we cheated him once and he will not believe us again! he added tt he would only allow us to kayyak on the condition tt the rest of our frens sign up and pay the full amt! why must he be so particular anyway? it's not like more than 9 ppl are using the facilities! (only about 9 of us wanted to kayyak anyway) by tt time, many of us were quite pissed. well, for one thing, i was! 'cos i put on my lifejacket like 3-4 times, but didn't get to kayyak! so me and hongli decided to go for a swim, and kian followed us too!

wah...i really love swimming in the sea! it's such a nice feeling :) felt really cool in the water, and by the time we made a trip to the opposite island and back, i had simmered down! swimming really does have a calming and soothing effect, doesn't it? oh, and u noe wat? i found out tt hongli learnt swimming before, and kian hasn't (self-taught), yet hongli swam slower than kian! okok, shan't make fun of her la, maybe she purposely conserve her energy? u neva noe rite? or she was trying to be humble and not show off...haha. well, well, back to the main topic. oh yes, we went for a second round of swimming, and i stupidly decided to jump down from this wooden bridge into the sea, thinking tt it was fun...it was fun all right, but not when i had my specs on! boohoo...my specs broke, and now it's lying in pieces in my specs case...maybe it's high time i learn how to put on contacts! it wasn't exactly huixuan's gd day either...her slipper strap broke, so she had a tough time trying to get arnd. ah..and i truly think it was my fault, 'cos i exchanged one slipper with her for fun, and the slipper of hers tt i wore spoilt (most prob due to my wide feet!) sorry huixuan! do u want me to buy a new pair of slippers for u?

i'm trying to recollect everything tt happened today, so the way my thoughts are penned down is really messy...my apologies. ok, back to the second swimming trip. this time, me, hongli, huixuan, kian and priscilla went over, and we built a baby monster, which someone called baby/xiao(as in small)/chio(as in pretty) kanasai! ok, i noe the name sounds disgusting, but the little sand mound is really very cute! hmm...who came up with the horrid name anyway? hongli! it's u rite? anyway, inspiration for the name came from how the fine wet sand over at the opp beach had such close resemblance to, u noe, poop/motion/shit(crude way of putting it). i think the pic of baby kanasai is stored safely in junkai's digi cam..junkai, pls put it up soon! oh, and if u dun mind, can u send it to me too? send to gohjiayin@yahoo.com, thanks! :D

ok, let me think, wat else did we do? actually not much lar. we had a late lunch arnd 3 sth at BK, and den headed back to the beach (palawan beach) by monorail and den bus. it was approaching six when we eventually reached the beach. and a hungry junkai had to settle with a cold and tastless BK burger, which was suppposed to be his lunch! i'm sure frm here u can see how slow the monorail is! it was practically crawling!

that's abt it! the trip was overall quite fun lar...learnt some basic vball skills, like serving, but i still am very bad at it. yup, everytime the ball comes i'll be too afraid to hit it, haha. but i shall improve! nxt time maybe...

to all those who got sunburned (is tt everyone? 'cos i thought i wasn't sunburned until a reached home and found out to my horror tt my legs and the area near my neck was red!) take care and dun scratch! that'll make it worse, rite? esp. priscilla and xuanyi! u two were quite badly burnt. junkai too! he was really red when we got back to pass him his burger. ah...i'm starting to itch too...

oh yar, before i go, must add tt we didn't kayyak at all in the end, even after lion king relented and decided to give us a chance to kayyak, which we decided most dignifiedly to refuse, 'cos of S71's pride! sounds dumb, but it was a choice btwn the $5 (money) and pride, and we chose pride! haha, and we did a 71 whoosh to show our team spirit! actually we considered saying sth bad abt lion king and then whooshing, but on second thoughts, we decided tt we will very much want to make another trip to sentosa again and not be chased out! oh, and i realised tt we didn't dance the fac dance in the end... :(

hey guyss!!! heh pink prawn coz the sentosa outing kinda fried me...i'm supposed to be bai nian-ing now but the incessant karaoke-ing is driving me nuts :( so i decided to use my cousin's com to blog!! today's outing was..hmmm not bad!! except that we got played around by some "pro staff" at sentosa whom we nicknamed lion king..hah.."seven one PRide"ahah...i think i sound retarded to those who didn't go today!! oh den some of us ( jiayin,pris,hot babe, kian and me) went to the opposite island to build a sand monster..our baby kanasai!!!!:) haha...we took a photo of her...i think it's in jun kai's camera!!..someone else give other details...i hafta run off now!!

hiyee! man so sorry i'm so late. i said i'd blog by tonight ya? tt's y i'm rushing to blog b4 the clock stikes 12. lolz cuz i just reached home!! haha anw here r de details of my bday party guys:

date: 20 feb (though it's not my real bday haha it's jiaming's bday btw! heh)
venue: melrose park, function rm (a condo tt's opposite great world city )
time: 1300 - 1700 (dun be late!)
theme for the day! *heh heh* : heatwave (lol up to u guys to interpret it.. maybe beachwear? ;) hee)
things to bring:
1. swimming costume(everyone pls be sporting n bring it! lolz)
2. extra set of clothes n socks if u're wearing shoes (in case ur frens play pranks on u or dump u in the pool or sth haha)
3. towels n bathing soap n other toiletries if u wanna bathe afta ur swim
4. balls? haha if u wanna play ball or sth..
5. bring ur fun n sporting self! =D haha u guys will b the ones that make this party fun! yea :)

Today is CNY eve! I guess most of us having reunion dinner today.. Have a great time savouring all the CNY delicacies! *mouth waters* Remember to take care too! Drink lots of water and take plenty of mandarin oranges cos they are rich in vitamin C.. yup yup! :)

> CNY is coming!!! :D

Heyy everyone!! :D Hehe I'm feeling a bit high today despite the mounting amounts of spring cleaning I have to do. It's totally the prospect of a lesson-free week that cheers me up. I haven't blogged here yet so I have a lot to say! :D Hmm ... which should I begin with first. Oh yes, first thing on my mind now! I'm really excited about tomorrow since the celebrations are going to be quite large scale and hopefully it will be jam-packed with activities. And then I hope that 71's stall will do really well and Charlene's (mum's) LOVELY cookies will be sold out! Then the proceeds from our bulging money jar will go to some lucky charity. ^^

And the next thing is ... I've had my some of my most memorable days with the class these few days. I think everyone's starting to warm up ^^ and so I don't feel so cold anymore. I will certainly miss you all, every bit of this. Thanks heaps to people who wrote stuff to me: tiff, hongli, iskonkul, pamela & jiayin. I was very touched by what you guys said and I if I didn't remmeber wrongly I think I was going to cry. But I didn't hehe. Okay this is not my farewell note yet, but anyway I promise to keep posting here when I settle down in Auz! It'll be fabulous fun! :P

I realise that the pics that are posted turn out quite small, perhaps we could get a Shutterfly album to store these photos so we can see them LARGER. :D And currently the lovey-dovey hearty class layout I'm working is still in it's uhh ... alpha-testing phase. I'm trying to regain my chao rusty graphic designing skills while I work on it so I'm working like a snail. Any suggestions on what to include and basically anything that will be of help to making it are very welcome. ^^

Hey everyone! Hope all of you enjoyed the weekend and got your well-deserved rest. So I hope to see you all recharged and reinvigorated on Monday! :)

Anyway, I just want to inform you all what we will be doing for Econs tutorial tomorrow so that all of us come prepared. :) Lend your eyes and ears to Ker Wei and Ronald, for they will be presenting to all of us a newspaper article, just like what Jiayin and Huixuan did last time. The presentation should last about 15-20 mins and you guys are strongly encouraged to ask questions related to the article... lots of real-life Economics issues that we should be concerned about! Reading only lecture notes is simply too boring...

For the remaining 20-25 minutes of the tutorial we shall play the Bingo Game! I believe all of you have faithfully studied the word list which contains 40 Economics terms and chose 24 terms to fill in the boxes. Yup... more details about the game will be released tomorrow! So look forward to fun and games and also prizes! :)

During Econs lecture tomorrow you guys will be getting back your Econs lecture quiz! Excited? :) Your class did well and I'm proud of the efforts you all put in preparation for the test. :) Continue to work hard and play hard!

For those who are way ahead of tutorials you might want to start doing the Animal Farm tutorial (Tutorial 8) and begin work on Tutorial 9 (Demand). We'll discuss these tutorials in class after the Chinese New Year week. I have not forgotten the MCQs too. I understand that many of you have questions regarding the MCq exercises so we shall discuss them after Chinese New Year. I heard that some of you are feeling pretty demoralised over the number of mistakes you made. I just wanna say that the more mistakes you make, the more you learn! :) Don't worry ok? 2. whoever who wants to go donate blood, get consent form from me as ur parents would need to agree first b4 u can go because you're still 16-17 years old.
3. guys, try and go for blood donation coz i believe that ur should be over 45 kg in weight and also in good health..=p girls who are over 45 kg in weight - look on the bright side, if u lose that amount of blood for donation, u can pon cca (provided ur in sports, coz u would be "too weak and have insufficient blood to circulate ard the body for exercise") haha.. so muz go donate blood..
4. just wanna noe, who's going for talentime arh? to watch lar i mean.. muz support mah!

feel really happy today, 'cos a grreat wk has just passed and another wonderful wk is coming up! happy chinese new yr to everyone!!! :D

woohoo! our class's cl new yr banner really rox! thx to everyone who stayed back tt day till evening to paint the banner! thx for your time and not minding get slopped on with paint everywhere! esp. kaiqian...haha. u've to get a new shirt, rite? and those ppl who stayed on for dinner after tt..haha, heard tt u all had soggy instant noodles for dinner (or is tt even considered a dinner?!?), 'cos the HOT WATER dispenser which was apparently supposed to dispense hot water, dispensed lots of COLD WATER instead! poor things! and this is to hong li: haha, i won't be able to burn my tongue, and i won't burn my tongue, k...'cos the hot water's cold.. :)

ohoh, and not to forgot, our super and ultra niceee fac dance! Hi everyone again, junkai here.
i think our cls blog is gaining publicity from other people. haha, hmm.. so i wld really be pleased if all de 'junkai's be changed to iskonkul, so tt ppl wont noe it's me doing all those should-not-have-been mentioned stuffs. thank you! haaha.
oh and btw, this week has been a pretty quick one. which means it's been a very fun week! yays. our class surely has become closer over the week yea. I hope next week will not be the same though, wish it could last as long as possible.

i noe tt i'm very slow, but i juz found out today tt xin hui will be leaving HC and S'pore very very soon..27 Feb izit? and she will only be attending lessons for the next 3 days.. then probably never again! i'm very upset, but it's actually not supposed to be so.. haiz.. Australia sure is fun.. heard tt the strawberries there are very big, and the stars at nite are very bright! zhong3 zhi1, its a few times better than S'pore.. but anyway, xin hui, muz take care k? I'm sure 71, Ms Chua and Ms Lock, Ms Tang, Mrs Cheng..Ms Ooi (maybe, considering tt she called us a bunch of irresponsible ppl).. will miss u and remember u!

oh yah, although xin hui only practices a piece, tt 'classical' piece tt she played on the piano was great. Adeline ya? Hey everyone! Here's Miss Lock Wan Jun, your econs tutor speaking! :) I think it's a cool idea that the school's IT department launched a blogging competition among the J1 CTs! Hmm.... Time really flies and I have known your class for almost 3 weeks already! I must say that this class is pretty united and fun-loving. It's wonderful how you guys can get rather close to one another after only being in the same class for a month right? Last time my class was very united too. We grandseniors just got along terrifically well. The emotional bond was just there. Even when the second in-takers joined our class in March they integrated well into the class too. I guess it's the 71 spirit :)

I'm really honoured to have the honour to take your class for econs tutorial! When I knew I was going to take your class I was so excited! Actually I have seen you people during campfire night. I was there taking photos of you all attacking the watermelon like crazy! It's the 71 tradition so do continue it! I must say that you people are angels most of the time during econs tutorial, though sometimes you all seem quite bored and listless. It makes me wonder if I'm talking Greek.... =S Yup I know sometimes my voice has the potential to lull people into deep sleep but I promise you all that I'll make future tutorials more interesting and student-centred. If I'm boring just tell me k? Look out for games and more group work during tutorials! Everyone will definitely get a chance to speak up during the presentation of newspaper or magazine articles weekly and etc... lots of opportunities! No need to feel embarassed! The more questions you ask the more you learn.
