ah...i realised that i haven't visited the class blog in ages! too busy dancing away the past few weeks, haha. all the recent postings have been about class outings! class outings have really become rare ever since the start of april when all the tests started flooding in, haven't they? there should be a class outing tmr at east coast, rite? dun think i'll be able to make it tho, cos i've...yar, dance. again.
nvm, as ronald said, there'll be many other opportunities for class outings, like catching the movie on euthanasia, and, and body lang...yes! BODY LANGUAGE!! go go go! two dollars only! so cheap! so must go! haha.
change of subject here...seven one must jia you ok? cos we were the first in the level for bio test in second in level for econs test..from the back! *applaud* we've made an improvement! so we shall continue to improve in baby steps k? and be the first from the front! yay! :D
this week is a long weekend, so everyone, rest well k? those who have not been feeling very well recently, pls pls take care! chelly and kaiqian, hope u both will get well soon! or have u all alr recovered? i certainly hope so! and the rest! dun follow in their footsteps! ppl like tiff, u must take good care of your throat, if not how to be song ic? haha, realised that i sound very naggy. oh well.

april was quite sian since there wasnt many class outings and some were kinda feeling sick. (as in taken ill) nvm. Im sure there will be more class outings coming up. Examples CIP Day @ RGS, Body Language...

anyways, thank you to everyone who came down to support the hwachong volleyball team during the matches. Kianwei, Jielong, Nigel, Ronald, Junyi, Shiru, Chenlu, Xuanyi, Shuli, Kerwei, Shimin, 04s71 seniors. If i missed out your name, just tell me and I'll add yours to the list. (: Yup, nxt year, u guys will be supporting me! I'll jump so high that my head will pass the net. I'm nt kidding, just exaggerating.
as I blog, I'm thinking about class outing. we haven't had one for ages! as the welfare rep, i should be responsible for organising one ehz. okies... i'm planning one now. don pangseh me.

haha good job to all the runners for running so well! yes it is a pity we lost out to 3rd spot with a difference of 1 sec, or isit 0.2 sec? though it matters, and it bothers me, but it's ok! I still think it was a job well done becos we didn't even have any experience prior to the race. and we had to deal with the problem of reorganising the runners positions. huixuan was very nice to take up the position of 1st runner. (:(:(: Everyone else ran super fast, except me, i was only fast, not super. haha. so yeah! kudos to everyone! as well as to those who came down to support us, thank yous so much! oh my i'm super high now.
after reading jielong's post, i realise no one praised him. haha. at least he's not so bhb to praise himself. ok i shall be nice.
8th and last runner, jielong: three words, SUPER DUPER FAST. (er is that good enough?)
and the snr class ran well too! they got 2nd in their own heats, so tt's a pretty impressive result. and cheering that 71 kebbaba, wow! it's been a while since I last cheered that. 71 kebbaba!

Anyway, there's a movie screening on 10th May of "The Sea Inside". It's excellent. It's about euthanasia, beautifully presented. What more, Euthanasia has been a really hot topic these days if you have been following the news.
If you want, we can go as a class to watch. It's a Alliance Francaise, near Newton MRT, very accessible from school---many buses go there.
Please let me know next week! I could help you guys book the ticket! But not paying for you! :)

angie here.. long time never blog.. i dunno if im still welcome to blog,but well, once in 71, always in 71.. hope u guys continue to rock..haha im now maths rep in 76..got so much more to do than when i was asst ct rep..-grin-so many new changes have happened..can't believe i actually would change combi and class..feel a bit sorry at dropping econs..i really liked it in the 1st 3 months,but started getting tired of so many details..i dunno lar,now if u ask me y i dropped it i also cant place a finger on it...but looking on the bright side,i have more friends..i'd never forget my lab partners,tiffany and charlene..tho din really get to noe some of u quite well,but still, i miss 71.. tts y i keep appearing back at the 71 class bench..never realised the wonders 3 months of class bonding in 71 could do..din noe i'd miss 71 so much.. yups.. tts all i have to say.. best of wishes to everybody.. n have fun studying.. its a de-stresser sometimes..=p

ok, last bit! dear friends, i may not have told you all, but i'm in s65 now! so please say hi to me ok! hello hello! and i was in s6a, but that is the past, haha, so the problem i have now, is that i cannot differentiate s6a people and the s71 new intakers and my s65 classmates, so whatever. please say hello to me still! i very stupid! that day i stand wrong class, i also didnt know, cos i cant recognise the ppl in s65, and i didnt realise until somebody asked me who am i :( cos i dont bother to go and mix with them, which is bad, but as usual, i need 2 mths to adapt, so sorry to them, and hais.. i'm really very tired now, because i have to adapt all over again, and there is no one to call me sunyanzi again, and i have to see new faces again. but i chose this route myself, and i shall accept the consequences of it! so no need to worry for me my firends, i love you all all the same. thanks for your encouragements! :)

(since shes frm 71 anw) haz. im jus totallie grateful for all the help rendered esp when we 2 couldnt cope wif all the campaigning gimmicks. and for everyone who put on the tie so willingly to rallie for us. hahaz. but of course it added aesthetical value to the entire HC uniform. so its a win-win situation ya knoez. hahaz. however i would lyk to esp thank our 'new friends' (as miss lock has so kindly put it). we have barely known each other for a week or 2... and yet everyone's so accommodating and supportive. haz. jonathan. junyi. gerald. sean. jocelin. nigel. chenlu. 'mingster'. shiru. thanks for everything.. haahz. hope u have enjoyed being with us for the past 2 weeks. i assume 71 is very fun hor? compared to the other classes arnd. hahaz. and not forgetting all the wonderful frens frm the first 3 mnths dat has left us but are still with us. indeed im not in council. but somehow. i managed to get out of this mini-depression afer a short time. so yeahz. mayb im uber strong and can stand up after this mini-setback easily. or mayb the desire for it wasnt dat strong. hmm. but in any case. i knoe dat everyone is behind me. all the comforting messages either thru msg. thru msn. thru voice. i treasure every bit of concern u have for me. becos it is realli realli important for me. i said that the 2nd most impt aspect of my life during the qNa session is frens. indeed. i nv would have been able to stand up this soon without all the encouragement and motivation from everyone. for it is this strange intangible bond dat keeps me afloat. gimme a choice between having frens and no council and having council but no frens. its lyk duh. i wil choose the former.
enuf said. i thk u all get the point dat im not hiding in some shell and wallowing in selfpity. im supposed to be the strongest person on earth. kian told me dat. and so i believed him. duh. i have ultimate confidence in myself. but pls do not mistaken this for ego. hahaz. thanks everyone for everything.

it's amazing how much a class spirit can do. it has happened right in front of me, and TO me! summary of what i wanna say: you guys totally ROCK! in times of need, u all have shown u will willingly offer a helping hand. no class i've eva been to in my years of schooling has been willing to go to such extents. without u guys, i guess i wouldn't have made it.
when i first came into hc, i was actualli kinda wondering if i wud be able to fit into an institution of world-class leaders (sounds familiar? it's part of our sch vision haha), dominated by ppl from terric, branded schs.. i came from a SAP sch, but it is average compared to where u guys came from. i wondered if there were gonna be snobs. i wondered if i shud just sink into my comfort zone n go to a college where i knew many frens - VJ or TJ. afta all it wud be so convenient for mi! but sth inside me was telling me to take up the challenge.. step out of my comfort zone! go to my dream college though it meant starting anew n knowing only a handful of ppl, all of whom i wasn't close to!
thank God for His blessings cuz i was posted to a CT with great ppl n in which i cud b so comfortable just being myself - a class with no pretense, no evil thoughts, no snobs - n be accepted just the way i am. :) a class full of spirit n drive to keep the 71 name! haha.
anw i just wanna say this to ronald: dun lose faith in urself cuz of this, cuz i'm sure u'll shine in things tt u were meant to do. u've got ur own strengths, n maybe it was planned tt u'll develop these strengths of urs in different ways n areas, not thru council.. wadeva it is, kip smiling cuz we'll support u, assistant CT rep! :) i believe we both gained sth from the campaigning :) there were high times - laughter n fun, n also low times - little time to prepare, stress, anxiety n disappointment. n i guess we've learnt how to manage all these thru e whole process. in any case, i think i've learnt more abt u n i'm thankful 4 tt. :)

I've invaded the class blog. Ahahahahaha.
Somehow this little cute guy has found himself tied to the class bench, had his throat cut and bazhangs stuffed into his wound, and is now our mascot (right?).
Anyway, after spending a little more than a week with the class, I think S71 rocks! Thanks for making me feel like part of the class in such a short time.
Thanks to our tutors for showing such concern about whether we are coping, especially to Ms Lock for offering make-up tutorials and using the term "new friends". =)
I also appreciate the encouraging comments of some of my ct-mates. Thanks.

Juz wanna say a big thank you to everyone who has helped me out in this period of time.. When I was struggling to return to 71. To go back and use the term 'us all' instead of 'you all' and 'me'. yeah u get the idea...
Thanks shimin for accompanying me for the whole day at admin block.. It made climbing the stairs of the building 13times a lil less frustrating.. Really appreciate it.. Alot, alot. Still rmb that time when we looked down at the 2nd intakers and councillors learnin the mass dances from above.. While they all - 71 were havin bio lessons conducted by dear Mrs Cheng.. haha it truly filled me with nostalgia; longing of the past when we had our own orientation as a class.. As 71. Back in a time when everythin was less complicated.. Even now, when you're posted to A13, pls believe me that u'll always play an impt part of 71. Honestly, I've missed not seein ya arnd that much these days.. Really miss you, mei. =S
JieLong and Kaiqian.. I dunno wad can be better than havin u 2 arnd.. =D As usual, crappy/beng-ish/attitude jielong has his way of perking me up and kaiqian neva stopped encouraging and hoping fr the best. Still can rmb the few msgs that JieLong sent.. Esp the one that ended with "cya tmr my 71 classmate.." haha nearly teared. OH!! And the super-duper-cannot-stand-it lucky charm. LOL its damn cute larr.. haha thanks fr passin it to me to ensure good luck. Then dear ct rep was constantly hopping arnd to enquire abt the class size of everyone to aid me in my appeal.. Then I'll never thank u enough fr callin up all the 2nd intakers to ask whether they wld like to transfer to trip science class.. I noe it muz haf been super time-consuming and den we had to do maths tutorial on that day. Sorry to make u that tired and den I will NEVER EVER forget the look on ur face when u noe that I can remain in 71.. haha e sheer ecstasy of learnin abt it was all over ur face lah.. haha even more excited and happy than me.. haha. Hey my dear grandjuniors! Here's your Econs tutor aka grandsenior speaking :) Hope you guys are getting along fine!
Cheers to Ronald and Tiffany for mustering enough courage to run for council! I have never ran for council before (honestly, I don't think I would have dared) but I believe the experience must have been great! Do share your experiences running for council with all of us! I went to the class bench today and took 2 apples! :) I think the Appletizer tie looks pretty funky too. Glad that you all rally around Ronald and Tiffany! That's the 71 spirit man! Keep it going :)
Over the weekend have a good rest ok? Hmmm.. I informed Hui Xuan that I will take up Dr Siva's PW lessons next friday for supplementary Econs tutorial. Looks like I can't make it because I have an Econs departmental meeting to attend in the afternoon and it will last till evening. Is everyone ok if I arrange for supplementary Econs tutorial next Tuesday after school? I understand that you guys end school at 3.20pm on Tuesday. I'll try to take up maximum 2 periods as I do not wish to tire you all. Don't worry about going hungry because I will be providing food for you all. Just keep the classroom clean ok? I'll try my best to get an air-conditioned classroom so that all of us will learn in comfort. Hope that the handouts done by me will be most useful in helping you all understand Econs better. I welcome feedback of all sorts regarding my lessons! Please sms me over the weekend whether you guys are ok with the idea of having Econs tutorial after school on Tuesday so that I can make the necessary arrangements. Thanks!

harlow!! well, i keep thinking about apples these days.. haha before i begin, i wanna say welcome to the second intakers!! over time, i'm sure u guys would fit in perfectly fine cuz when we first started out, we were rather cold n quiet.. i believe all of us in 71 do like all of you.. :) hope we'll make ur time in hc a pleasant one!! cuz we'll be spending lotsa time together.. (yay!!)
hmm ok.. i haven blogged for quite some time. so i just wanna say some stuff to u guys in 71: i wanna thank u for ur support!! it's like, u guys r so willing to wear that tie!! haha! vv happy :) i was afraid u might think we're askin for too much or sth.. but when i saw all of u coming into the audi that day all decked in that tie, do u know how it boosted my morale?? i was so so touched tt 71 is so supportive n cooperative! esp the 2nd intakers when i dunno u guys tt well yet.. but u all were willing to put it on!! sweet :) i dunno who were the ones who went arnd helping others put it on n who were the ones who helped ronald n i persuade everyone to do so, but whoever u are, i really appreciate ur willingness to help. it's so nice with u ppl arnd!! man, everyone in class rocks!! *big smile*
every now n then, i get encouragements from u guys abt the campaigning n no matter how insignificant u think ur encouragements may seem, it isn't insignificant to me cuz my heart will be "warmed" wheneva u guys cheer me on. i guess it's the same for ronald :) btw who ate the apples that we gave out today? haha.. we'll be doing more stuff next week.. hanging our banner..putting up a 5 min item on wed at the Campaigning Hotspot on wed.. 2.35 p.m. u all must go down to support ok?? we need u all there! haha.. our posters have been put up too n i look darn stupid in it but nvm.. haha. guess we'll be doing more stuff next week.
well i think my blog entry seems quite long this time.. haha but i still have some things to say! hmm, i wanna thank the following ppl: pamela, huixuan, shimin, ritzley, jielong, jiaming, kianwei, kerwei for helping out with the ties that day!! u guys stayed back to help appletizer do the ties.. cut the cloth etc.. i told my other 2 teammates abt what u guys did for us n they were saying tt 71 is so nice n supportive! :) jiaming! the video editor!! i just sat beside u in front of my com n told u which parts should come in at which stage n chose some effects with u and which parts to cut but u were the technical expert!! haha, dunno what my grp wud have come up with w/o ur expertise.. love you girl! jiayin, thanks for drawing tt mahjong paper thingy for us! lol.. we'll be putting up next week.. kaiqian, thanks for the pebbles.. hehe.i hope i haven missed out anyone tt i specially nid to point out.. oh n to those who put on their tie the min they step into sch n nv took it off the whole day, like priscilla, mingtse, jocelin, stone, shuli (though u took it off at the last 2 periods today haha) etc.. if i didn't mention ur name here, pls dun be offended cuz i appreciate u still! :) oh n jielong, hongli, huixuan, junkai, jinyang, ritz, guan han, jiayin, shuli, kaiqian, xuanyi, shimin, chen lu, ming tse, chelly, adeline, charlene, ker wei, jia hui, pam, kian wei, priscilla, shiru, jocelin, sean n ppl from s77 like melvin n lei lei.. thanks for voluntarily promising to vote n everything.. what can i do w/o u guys? u all have such an impt role in my campaigning! n ronald's too! haha. :) ok guess i'll end off here.. see u guys on mon! i can't make it for class outing tmr sadly.. :( may need to see the doc.. sigh. have a great time! n happy birthday to ms chua!! :) oh yeah, 04s71, thanks for ur support too!! to whoever wrote on that message board outside council rm, i love 04s71 too!yea!! adios!

dear friends, how are you all? getting along fine? please blog more.. and tell me about your lives.. even though i may not be here anymore.. really want to hear about you all.. cos you all are very nice to me.. and i never really thought that 71 could be part of my life..
anyway, for me, these few days has been really hectic. haha. some of you all saw me crying right.. no.. its not because i'm rejected or anything.. but cos i felt hurt to leave s60, and the people in the class feels the pain of having to adapt the change with the new intakers as well. its not that they dont want to try, but its hard.. cos.. the people they love, are irreplacable...
but life has to move on, doesnt it?
but well, whatever the case, hope you all are happy!
