huixuan, u finally blogged, huh? but how come the font so small, can't even see??
anyway, here's my turn to fill u guys in on wat happened in sentosa today! 'cos huixuan's entry was pretty brief.
well, ok, we started off meeting at harbourfront mrt, yup, and we were
supposed to meet at 9am, but in the end by the time everyone arrived, it was almost 10! as usual...our class really is famous for being late! tsk tsk, must try to change tt habit! anyway, 14 ppl met at the mrt station: all the guys, priscilla, huixuan, kaiqian, me, jiaming, xuanyi, hongli. (shimin came much later in the afternoon)
ok, so we made our way to sentosa, reached there, walked about for some time doing absolutely nothing, and sat around doing wat we do best - stoning. luckily tt didn't go on for the rest of the day! i guess it was sort of eveyone's fault tt we wasted time here and there, 'cos no one prepared anything! we had no mats, no ball (when it's so impt!), no frisbee...you get the pictur lah. oh, and while loitering arnd doing nothing, we saw ix shen! he was playing volleyball at one of the available courts!
later, 9 of us paid $5 each and received a fluorescent green band each, enabling us to use the volleyball court (ball included) and kayyak for the rest of the day. sounds worth it, isn't it? but the thing is, later, we all didn't even get to kayyak, 'cos of the lion king (as huixuan mentioned)! we were not allowed to remove our bands and pass it to another person, but we did so, and most unfortunately, the lion king (we nicknamed this guy lion king, 'cos his hair really resembles tt of a lion's mane!) found us out...and he didn't allow us to go kayyaking even after we passed on the bands to the more or less original ppl who signed up officially! he said tt we cheated him once and he will not believe us again! he added tt he would only allow us to kayyak on the condition tt the rest of our frens sign up and pay the full amt! why must he be so particular anyway? it's not like more than 9 ppl are using the facilities! (only about 9 of us wanted to kayyak anyway) by tt time, many of us were quite pissed. well, for one thing, i was! 'cos i put on my lifejacket like 3-4 times, but didn't get to kayyak! so me and hongli decided to go for a swim, and kian followed us too!
wah...i really love swimming in the sea! it's such a nice feeling :) felt really cool in the water, and by the time we made a trip to the opposite island and back, i had simmered down! swimming really does have a calming and soothing effect, doesn't it? oh, and u noe wat? i found out tt hongli learnt swimming before, and kian hasn't (self-taught), yet hongli swam slower than kian! okok, shan't make fun of her la, maybe she purposely conserve her energy? u neva noe rite? or she was trying to be humble and not show off...haha. well, well, back to the main topic. oh yes, we went for a second round of swimming, and i stupidly decided to jump down from this wooden bridge into the sea, thinking tt it was fun...it was fun all right, but not when i had my specs on! boohoo...my specs broke, and now it's lying in pieces in my specs case...maybe it's high time i learn how to put on contacts! it wasn't exactly huixuan's gd day either...her slipper strap broke, so she had a tough time trying to get arnd. ah..and i truly think it was my fault, 'cos i exchanged one slipper with her for fun, and the slipper of hers tt i wore spoilt (most prob due to my wide feet!) sorry huixuan! do u want me to buy a new pair of slippers for u?
i'm trying to recollect everything tt happened today, so the way my thoughts are penned down is really messy...my apologies. ok, back to the second swimming trip. this time, me, hongli, huixuan, kian and priscilla went over, and we built a baby monster, which someone called baby/xiao(as in small)/chio(as in pretty) kanasai! ok, i noe the name sounds disgusting, but the little sand mound is really very cute! hmm...who came up with the horrid name anyway? hongli! it's u rite? anyway, inspiration for the name came from how the fine wet sand over at the opp beach had such close resemblance to, u noe, poop/motion/shit(crude way of putting it). i think the pic of baby kanasai is stored safely in junkai's digi cam..junkai, pls put it up soon! oh, and if u dun mind, can u send it to me too? send to gohjiayin@yahoo.com, thanks! :D
ok, let me think, wat else did we do? actually not much lar. we had a late lunch arnd 3 sth at BK, and den headed back to the beach (palawan beach) by monorail and den bus. it was approaching six when we eventually reached the beach. and a hungry junkai had to settle with a cold and tastless BK burger, which was suppposed to be his lunch! i'm sure frm here u can see how slow the monorail is! it was practically crawling!
that's abt it! the trip was overall quite fun lar...learnt some basic vball skills, like serving, but i still am very bad at it. yup, everytime the ball comes i'll be too afraid to hit it, haha. but i shall improve! nxt time maybe...
to all those who got sunburned (is tt everyone? 'cos i thought i wasn't sunburned until a reached home and found out to my horror tt my legs and the area near my neck was red!) take care and dun scratch! that'll make it worse, rite? esp. priscilla and xuanyi! u two were quite badly burnt. junkai too! he was really red when we got back to pass him his burger. ah...i'm starting to itch too...
oh yar, before i go, must add tt we didn't kayyak at all in the end, even after lion king relented and decided to give us a chance to kayyak, which we decided most dignifiedly to refuse, 'cos of S71's pride! sounds dumb, but it was a choice btwn the $5 (money) and pride, and we chose pride! haha, and we did a 71 whoosh to show our team spirit! actually we considered saying sth bad abt lion king and then whooshing, but on second thoughts, we decided tt we will very much want to make another trip to sentosa again and not be chased out! oh, and i realised tt we didn't dance the fac dance in the end... :(
